HireDesigners, one of the world’s largest design recruitment agencies, has launched a dedicated UK channel aimed at helping British businesses and creative teams access specialised design talent from India. The move comes as UK studios and in-house design departments face increasing pressure from talent shortages and rising hiring costs across major cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Edinburgh.
The agency is extending its network of more than 350,000 vetted designers across over 50 design disciplines to UK-based clients. The expansion targets a growing hiring gap within Britain’s creative industries, which contribute more than £124 billion annually to the UK economy and remain among the country’s largest export sectors.
Industry recruiters say post-Brexit labour constraints and higher local compensation benchmarks have made it increasingly difficult for companies to scale creative operations sustainably. HireDesigners says its model is designed to provide UK firms with access to senior and mid-career design professionals at competitive cost structures.
The company reports a 97.3 percent placement retention rate across client engagements since inception, alongside a 2.7 percent replacement rate. Its placement fee structure of 14.84 percent falls within standard UK recruitment ranges.
HireDesigners operates across a broad range of creative sectors, including architecture, interior design, graphic design, UI UX design, fashion design, textile design, and industrial design. The company says its strongest demand from UK clients has come from businesses seeking experienced specialists in areas where hiring friction has intensified.
A key part of the agency’s recruitment process is its proprietary “3S” vetting framework. Candidates undergo assessments covering technical capability, portfolio quality, aesthetic alignment, and cultural fit with hiring teams. The company states that all evaluations are conducted by recruiters who are themselves practising designers, while behavioural compatibility assessments are supported by an in-house clinical and counselling psychologist.
The agency also points to its internal network of more than 350,000 designers as a competitive advantage, noting that many candidates are not actively listed on LinkedIn or traditional recruitment platforms. This allows UK companies to access passive senior talent and emerging specialists outside conventional hiring channels.
HireDesigners supports both full-time recruitment and project-based hiring models for UK clients. The company says its compensation structure is built around pay parity principles, enabling British businesses to engage Indian design talent at lower overall cost while maintaining output quality.
The company was co-founded by three practising designers. Co-founder Prashant Gupta is an alumnus of MICA and IIM Kozhikode and serves on the Confederation of Indian Industry’s National Committee on Design Innovation and Design Policy. Creative Director and Co-Founder Akshat Raghava studied at the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States and works with design institutions on curriculum development. Co-Founder Parth Parikh is an alumnus of Domus Academy in Milan and leads the company’s career counselling and mentorship initiatives.
Together, the founders say their backgrounds across industry, education, and mentorship have shaped the agency’s approach to design recruitment and professional development.
HireDesigners currently operates in nine countries, including India, the United States, and the United Kingdom, and says its broader mission is to position India as a global hub for design talent.
